Kids have an incredible imagination that needs to be fostered through careful choice of their Christmas gifts. By default if a child deems they are 'bored,' they ask for the television, game system, or computer. Which in moderation is great, but not at the expense of creative play.

I have watched my nephews create swords or drum sticks out of anything they have in their hands. The latest story of my 7 year old nephew is surfing and popping 'water' wheelies created by tying two jump ropes to the house, a stick for the handle, and an empty water cardboard container for and afternoon of surfing fun in his driveway.
